Tasting Notes
Fragrant aromatics showing barrel fermentation and sweet ripe lemon and peach aromas coupled with a palate of sweet ripe fruit, complexing balanced oak (100% French oak for 8 months) and fine acid backbone giving the wine wonderful length of flavour. The fruit intensity is the hallmark of this wine. 2021 shows a range of complexing fruit characteristics from lime curd and blood orange through to rich peach. This fruit intensity lays the ground of complexity from oak, malo and lees stirring offering mid palate richness, nutty cashew and almond oak characters with a long-textured acid line.
